Who is Quin? Quin is a REALTOR.

I am a REALTOR. I was first licensed in 1995 and in 2000 I opened my own company. At it's peak, I had 34 agents working for me and closed well over $100 million in real estate annually. In 2002 I created a virtual real estate program well before virtual was a thing and even before Google was the dominant search engine. I sold that company in 2017 to two of my sponsored agents in order to pursue other things. I still work for one of the people to whom I sold.

One of those "other things" was to create an international trade mission. I took 15 REALTORS from the Chicago area to the Canary Islands (Spain) to learn how to: Live, Work, Invest, and Retire in Spain. A highlight of the mission was a day-long seminar with 85 REALTOR affiliates from Spain. I had a panel of experts from banking, property management, lending, law, and government. They were all from Spain. I was the bilingual emcee. Throughout the week we had networking opportunities, visited real estate offices, visited local attractions, and had our own version of House Hunters International.

I currently sit on the Board of Directors for the Mainstreet Realtors which is the largest local residential real estate organization in Illinois. I also serve on the Government Affairs Lake County Committee and in the past have served on the Global & Nominating Committees.

I hold the following advanced designations:

CRS - Certified Residential Specialists

CIPS - Certified International Property Specialists

ABR - Accredited Buyers Representative

AHWD - At Home With Diversity

I am a member of:

WCR - Woman's Council of REALTORS

NAHREP - National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.

I got into real estate for several reasons.

1) My grandfather owned a brokerage when I was a child, LeGrand Real Estate in Harvard, Illinois.

2) I enjoyed looking at houses.

So for 28+ years I have been fortunate to have been paid for what essentially has been a hobby. I'm sure my grandfather would be both proud of my accomplishments and also in shock at how the Industry has changed.

My career flourished because I am an innovator, an entrepreneur, I think outside the box and look for creative solutions to things. Being a marketer for 28+ years, I naturally accentuate the positive and love to share stories in a way that people enjoy consuming.

I believe those are qualities that will be useful in a town which pays its bills mostly via visitors and fun.

I am a/an: entrepreneur, business owner, visionary, and marketer. I'm always looking for creative ways to promote Gurnee and increase non-resident revenue. And, I can deliver a message with vibrancy in a multitude of different and dynamic ways.

I am running to become the next Mayor of Gurnee.
